Yes: - the parallel port: * Auto, Disabled, 378, 278 or 3BC - the parallel port mode: * Normal, Bi-Dir, ECP, EPP or EPP+ECP - the parallel port IRQ: * 5 or 7 It's also possible to choose the EPP version (1.9 or 1.7) and/or the DMA channel (0, 1 or 3) when ECP or EPP are selected. My settings where: port=378, mode=normal and irq=7. I tried with the others mode (Bi-Dir, ECP, EPP and EPP+ECP); LP_PSELECD is still defined and I also still get hundreds of timeout and buffer overrun messages. Others BIOS settings that may affect the behaviour (?): - Plug and Play aware OS: Yes - All DMA Channels and IRQs: PnP some more info about the config used: cat /proc/version Linux version 2.6.11 (nice@linux) (gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-13)) #3 Sat Dec 30 01:25:12 UTC 2006 lsmod Module Size Used by lirc_parallel 10076 0 lirc_dev 13028 1 lirc_parallel parport_pc 21828 1 parport 19520 2 lirc_parallel,parport_pc cat /proc/cpuinfo processor : 0 vendor_id : CentaurHauls cpu family : 6 model : 9 model name : VIA Nehemiah stepping : 10 cpu MHz : 796.498 cache size : 64 KB fdiv_bug : no hlt_bug : no f00f_bug : no coma_bug : no fpu : yes fpu_exception : yes cpuid level : 1 wp : yes flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr cx8 sep mtrr pge cmov pat mmx fxsr sse rng rng_en ace ace_en bogomips : 1572.86 Loris |
