Wad, According to the lircd output you listed in your email, the reason lirc is not working is because it is unable to find any valid devices. Since the remote that you want to use is on your TV tuner card, you first need to get the TV tuner card drivers working first. Then once the tuner card has been identified by the kernel, lirc should be able to find the device.
