problem installing fedora 5 missing kernel module

Hi,

I have a problem with installing lirc on my Fedora RC5. When I use the
tarball file from the lirc site I get the error message that it is missing
a kernel module. It is not telling me which kernel module. I putted the
last few rules from the error log in this mail. Does anyone have an clue
how to fix this?

checking for scsi/sg.h... yes
checking for linux/input.h... yes
checking for sys/soundcard.h... yes
configure: error: *** you need to have the Linux kernel source installed
        for this driver
