I'm trying to setup lirc so that it can output through a serial transmitter at the same time that it handles input via my Hauppauge PVR-350. The instructions on http://www.lircsetup.com/ seem pretty straight forward but I am getting the following errors: irsend: could not connect to socket irsend: Connection refused Now I gather that this has something to do with the permissions on /dev/lircd1? [root@localhost bin]# ll /dev/lirc* crw------- 1 root root 61, 0 Nov 17 13:40 /dev/lirc crw------- 1 root root 61, 0 Nov 17 13:40 /dev/lirc0 srw-rw-rw- 1 root root 0 Nov 17 13:40 /dev/lircd srw-rw-rw- 1 root root 0 Nov 17 13:40 /dev/lircd1 This is kind of weird though since the srw-rw-rw suggests to me that I have read and write permission. (I'm no linux guru mind you so please call me an idiot if I so deserve it). Any idea of how I track this one down? Regards Marty |
