Can someone explain to me the dependency on bttv when using lirc for a pvr350? I am using ivtv drivers which replace the video4linux version of the turer drivers. I would like to unerstand and clean up the problem I am having. Output in messages: Oct 28 07:18:10 mediacenter kernel: lirc_dev: IR Remote Control driver registered, at major 61 Oct 28 07:18:10 mediacenter kernel: bttv: disagrees about version of symbol tveeprom_read Oct 28 07:18:10 mediacenter kernel: bttv: Unknown symbol tveeprom_read Oct 28 07:18:10 mediacenter kernel: bttv: disagrees about version of symbol tveeprom_hauppauge_analog Oct 28 07:18:10 mediacenter kernel: bttv: Unknown symbol tveeprom_hauppauge_analog Lirc seems to have a dependency on bttv. My bttv driver is original kernel module from "2.6.11-1.27_FC3smp SMP 686 ". But I have ivtv installed to use my pvr350 which replaces tveeprom.ko with a version that bttv does not seem to like. My lirc seems to work fine anyway, suggesting that for my case with a pvr350 tuner that uses i2c that bttv may not really be a needed dependency? Does anybody have an idea how I might proceed to clean this up? As I say, my lirc is working this way I just want to clean up these conflicts System info: CPU: Intel P4 3.00GHz SMP MB: Intel 82801 ICH5 integrated AGP video OS: FC3 2.6.11-1.27_FC3smp TV: WinTV PVR 350 card (iTVC15 based) ivtv: version 0.4.0 Lirc: lirc-0.7.1 I have been struggling for some time to get a clean mythtv installation on a Fedora Core 3 installation. Everything is working pretty well now except for occasional playback freezes, so I am trying to clean up all conflicts before further debugging. Can anyone offer some help here? Steve |
