reposted from last month, hoping to get a response this time.... I have an irman and lirc installed and set up, but can"t quite get it all to work. There wasn"t a config file for my remote so I created one using irrecord. But the results are irratic when testing the config with irw (many keys don"t work and ones that do show the wrong key, although sometimes I can get a key to work). I happened to have a cd player remote that matches an existing config from the web site so I tried that and none of the keys worked at all thru irw. I also tried irrecord with that remote and, again, sporatic results. I also played around with the libirman tool test_io. This shows what is likely the problem - I don"t get consistent hex codes for the keys pushed. example output from test_io pushing channel-up 5 times in a row...
