Hi all, I heavily use my remote controler for home multimedia commands. The standards irexec, irxevent and liblirc model, where each app that sup= ports lirc store its own state in the .lircrc automaton is not to my point the = best way to resolve the problem. It results on lots of difficulties to write a= non powerful config file. I've discovered plircc a couple of months ago, and it fits my needs much = more than the standard tools. One automaton state at once, all becomes simpler.. I've done some changes to the initial 0.01a release by Matti Airas. Some osd capabalities makes visual feedback simpler than a trick like command && echo command | osd_cat There is a simple mechanism to jump automaticaly in SOMEAPP mode when som= eapp is manually launched. I may add in the future support for direct dcop and dbus calls. I think lirc team should promote dcop or dbus instead of liblirc as a rem= ote control system. more than remote control, these system makes apps shell scriptable. You can find my plirc 0.1 release here: http://tardyp.free.fr/plircc/ regards -- Pierre |
