[I mistakenly submitted this earlier, with the 60K patch attached] On the support forums for the USB-UIRT hardware, David Nevel posted a patch to lirc to support this device. I can confirm it works just dandy for me on a Debian testing box w/ prebuilt 2.6.8-1 kernel. I had to update the patch slightly to conform to current lirc CVS. I can confirm that the hardware supports transmitting, receiving, and learning using this patch. I checked with David, and he gave me the go-ahead to submit this patch for possible inclusion in lirc. The patch is here: http://tulrich.com/geekstuff/files/lirc-2004-10-21-usb-urt2.patch Other links: USB-UIRT hardware: http://www.usbuirt.com forum thread: http://166.70.183.44/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=353&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15 David Nevel's original patch & instructions: http://www.gemair.com/~neveld/ -- Thatcher Ulrich http://tulrich.com |
