hi all, Building Lirc 0.6.6 on an embedded linux (slackware 9.0 format/ kernel 2.4.22) gives me this error when running lircd (after insmod the lirc_serial.o module) : lircd 0.6.6: daemon() failed lircd 0.6.6: no such file or directory lircd 0.6.6: signal caugth on the embeded system i use theses files: /dev/lirc (crw-r--r-- root root 61,0) /dev/lircd (srw-rw-rw- root root 0) /usr/local/sbin/lircd /etc/lircd.conf /lib/modules/2.4.22/misc/lirc_serial.o compiled with serial home style receiver on the serial port (0x2f8 / irq 3) on my full version linux (also Slackware 9.0 / kernel 2.4.22) every thing works fine. I searched google (web, newsgroups) and this mailing list's archives with nothing coming close to answers that i'm looking for. my question is, someone got this kind of error? What could be the reasons that lircd can't go in the background and what is the missing file that gives the "no sutch file or directory" ? thanks to any lead on this !! Jeff C. |
