Leandro, You might be right on this one with your modified hw_pinsys.c driver. I found some pictures of the hardware, and it looks like it has a 20-pin microcontroller and power control. If it has a micro, then it is probably "smart"(decodes the signal, sends back a key at 1200 baud). It is possible that lirc_sir could read this data too, or perhaps Peter has a different model. Anyway, the picture didn't look like just a IR receiver on a IRDA header.
