i have since plugged my old mouse back in so i can use a mouse with a wheel, but i would still like to try and get the wacom 2-button scroll mouse that came with the tablet to scroll... the pen still works, i just use the optical mouse ontop of the tablet. any suggestions? below is my original post... what am i missing to get the scroll wheel to work on the wacom mouse? thanx. michael ---------- stuff from my inbox to yours: ---------- Subject: wheel mouse no wheeling Date: Friday 18 July 2003 22:03 From: m jones <bli...@ve...> To: lin...@li... Hello... I am using a Wacom Intuos2 4x5 with the wacom 2-button scroll mouse... i am using the "linuxwacom-0.5.2-beta" driver... i compiled the wacom.o, mousedev.o, evdev.o and hid.o on red hat 9 and installed the precompiled binary wacom_drv.o and everything works just fine... i can use the pen in gimp and i like that... but i am having no luck getting the scroll wheel to work... i can find lots of references to the fact that it will work, but not much on the exact info needed in the XF86Config to get it work... i had it working fine (well, it scrolled backwards... but i was gettig to kinda dig it that way) but the pen didn't work in gimp... i think i read that the mouse driver kept taking control, so i recompiled with the evdev.o, hid.o, and mousedev.o and the pen worked great after that... but no more wheel. below is a bit of the relevant bits from my XF86Config... if anyone can see what i am doing wrong and give a heads up, i would appreciate it. thank you in advance. oh, by the way... there is no other mouse installed at all... i left the Mouse0 stuff in there just so X would start... it won't without it.
