Support for Bamboo P&T has made it into the linux-input git repo and a pull request has been sent to Linus to include in Linux 2.6.37. So when that is released, this will be resolved for all. But Linux 2.6.36 and earlier users still will need the linuxwacom solution. Hopefully, Ping will be able to develop a 2.6.36+ linuxwacom patch soon.
