The upgrade to 5.3 has been a disaster for me. Look at the output when I print to my Canon Image Runner C3200 (note that I am printing straight from the Windows 7 font manager). Driver: PCL 5e. Note that this only happens with Linux Libertine and Biolinum. All other fonts still work fine on this printer.
I\'ve deleted the fonts and returned to 5.1.3, and everything works fine again.

This happens from Linux too on Canon Image Runner KMC 360. The 5.1.3 font worked well. I noticed that the print preview looks good so it must be something with the fonts and the image Runner printers.

Same issue I describeb in #3600755. Sorry for double posting.

    Hi all,

I experience the very same problem from the OP using Windows and the latest official Linux Libertine O package 5.3.0.
It appeared when printing PDF graphics exported from MS Visio embedded in a LaTeX document. The same happened with a PDF exported from Wolfram Mathematica in a LaTeX document. Printing was on a HP laserjet.

Here a user suggests that ttfautohint 0.9 may be the culprit.
    https://sourceforge.net/p/linuxlibertine/discussion/307868/thread/e50f919b/

Linux Libertine G (http://numbertext.org/linux/) is said to be better, but with it I had even trouble in the PDF without printing anything.

Are there plans to run Biolinum/Libertine through the newest version of ttfautohint to see if that is the culprit?

    Best regards
    John
