[Linux-fbdev-devel] question about frame buffer "emulation"

Hi people,

I'm looking for a frame buffer "emulation" layer/app that can be shown inside 
X11, so I can write an application for frame-buffer and use this emulation 
for testing without switching back and forth from X11 to FB...

Does anyone know about such an application?
