it would be just good to have a script in the install
process that generate different thumbnails from an
image, and we simply select the format that works on
our install...

so the script would list different thumbs from all the
techniques (GD1, GD2, IMagick) ... and we can select
the one we see... thumbnails have to be jpg, gif and
png to please everyone... so if GD1 is not working,
the others can... if none is working, call your host..
