Mark, are you also using egcs 1.1.2 like Graham? Are you also running Redhat? I run Suse 6.4, gcc 2.95.2 and it works just fine. does it also happen when there is no WM running? is the crash in inside the Xlib or inside Qt? when does it crash ? when selecting a predefined autoresponse? or when typing a long line? when a line wraps around? or just somewhere inbetween?
