ldap-preg_replace: new release 0.9.4 published!

ldap-preg_replace is a small perl script for your command line that can replace LDAP attribute values online based on a regular expression thus making it very powerful but preserves simple usage.

The 0.9.4 release is a minor feature release.
It adds some cool attribute value adding possibilitys that allow easy and fast addition of values for those cases you don't want to fiddle around with ldapadd and LDIF files.
To make this possible, the operation of the program was slightly changed: now, it only operates on values already present. With the new introduced switch -A together with the special pattern "s/^$/your-replacement" can now be used to fine tune how values should be added. The 0.9.3-1 release is a minor bugfix release to 0.9.3 released yesterday. In 0.9.3-1 the README file was extended to extensively describe the new features. A problem was fixed that made the -F parameter introduced in 0.9.3 inaccessible.... read more

The new version 0.9.3 Adds a new -F switch to disable the automated search performance tuning and to provide the filter as-is.

ldap-preg_replace: new bugfix release 0.9.2 out!

ldap-preg_replace is a small perl script for your command line that can replace LDAP attribute values online based on a regular expression thus making it very powerful but preserves simple usage.

The new version 0.9.2 fixes a small problem with the -p parameter if blank passwords are provided.
Additionally, parameter -H is not mandatory anymore and defaults to "localhost".

ldap-preg_replace is a small perl script for your command line that can replace LDAP attribute values online based on a regular expression thus making it very powerful but preserves simple usage.

The new version 0.9.1 adds just some advanced troubleshooting help to the help screen. Some comments inside the code where also updated.
The code itself has not changed compared to version 0.9.
