hi, Langband has taken yet another step further: Langband v0.1.3 is now released. Langband is the lispier Angband alternative, and is known to work on Common Lisp systems on Linux and Unix. It is a development release showing the roguelike community that langband is improving and will soon be a fully playable game. This is a new development release with mostly non-visible changes. It's mostly released to get the major backend fixes out and to be able to focus on gameplay issues for awhile. Major fixes include: - Changed old zterm-backend to a lisp-based system that's more flexible and powerful. GCU is disabled in v0.1.3, but SDL should work fine. - Tweaked targeting, running, and input-event code. - Fixed the game-loop to use a simple priority-queue to make turns more just. - Improved visual-effects for missiles and spells - Spellcode updates in vanilla variant - And several other changes, see Changelog. The v0.1.3 should also work with not too much effort on Windows if you have installed Cygwin and the gratis Lispworks Personal (www.lispworks.com).
