After installation on a Windows XP machine and upon attempted first (and subsequent) opening of Kompozer, Novatix's CyberHawk threat analysis program pauses the open process and notifies the user that the program is a high risk, as follows:
Risk: HIGH
Application Name: Nvu - KOMPOZER.EXE
This program is attempting to modify your computer so that another computer can access it.
This is version 2.0.4.35 of Cyberhawk and the installation package from which the Komposer was installed was the kompozer-077-win32.exe installer.
I don't know about anyone else but in today's enviornoment, I'm reluctant to proceed with opening Kompozer based on this threat analysis and have not done so.
Though you might want to know.
Thanks.

I've never heard of Cyberhawk before - do you know anything about the algorithm it uses to determine such things so that Kaze could look into where that might be coming from?

Yeh, Kompozer is trying to make an FTP connection with a remote server. That is its purpose. This is not a threat.
