Hello, I have the following problems/comments to report. 1) Problem with early_param ??? If have the following error when trying to connect to target. (gdb) target remote /dev/ttyS0 Remote debugging using /dev/ttyS0 Couldn't establish connection to remote target Remote failure reply: E22 Andrew Grover posted a message on the same subject on 2004-07-29. Apparently, Mithlesh Thukral took care of a fix, but it now seems to be broken again. I am using a clean 2.6.13 kernel from kernel.org that I patched with the kgdb patch package available on SourceForge for 2.6.13. If I let the system boot without kgdbwait parameter, I can then connect later on once the kernel is running. 2) CONFIG_KGDB_CONSOLE hangs the system When I enable CONFIG_KGDB_CONSOLE, the system hangs at "Uncompressing Linux..Ok, booting the kernel" 3) Clarifications suggested for the documentation It is said in the README of the patch package that architecture dependant patches are only required for their respective architecture. In fact, all the patches are required for the set of patches to apply successfully. |
