kdar exits without warning upon reaching the 4 GB
file size limit on my vfat partition. I have gentoo
linux installed with kdar version 2.0.6 and dar
version 2.2.2 .

I have the same problem on opensuse 10.1 (KDar 2.0.7,
libdar 3.1.3). I have an external HD with the fat32
filesystem. I started backing up my internal HD, and when
I got back kdar had exited. The resulting file was 4.0GB
(fat32 limit), while the drive being backed up had about 7
gb of data.
It would be very nice if kdar gave a warning instead of
silently quitting....
