2.0 & 2.1 S/RPM Packages

Gonzalo Nemmi has been generous enough to supply Conetiva Linux RPM packages for version 2.0 of Kconfigure. In addition I have uploaded a generic source RPM for versions 2.0 and 2.1. If anyone is successful in building packages for their given distribution; please let me know so we can share them.

New Developer

We have added another developer to Kconfigure. Although this is not an entirely unknown even, what is unusual about this particular developer is that he has actually contributed code!

Mike Moery has added the "What's This" support to Kconfigure (the icon was always in the help menu, it just does something now) and will be working on the Kconfigure handbook. With Kconfigure 2.1 just around the corner, this feature is a welcome addition to Kconfigure.

Debian Packages Now Available

Ricardo Cruz was kind enough to provide me with .deb (tested on Sid, Unstable) packages of kconfigure 2.0. Thanks Ricardo. If anyone has packages available for other distributions, please let us know so we can make them available to other users.

Help

the autoconfig, configure, make build setup on kconfigure is really really busted. If anyone who is good at autoconfig can help me clean it up I would really appreciate it. Please contact brockers if you can help.

checkinstall support

OK, the current CVS has support for checkinstall. You can do some basic configuration for checkinstall in the preferences menu. I don't have any slackware or Debian boxes so if someone can test this with those two distro's I would really appreciate it. After I have don't a couple bug fixes I will publish version 0.8.

New Developer

For those who are concerned, kconfigure is still alive. A new developer has picked up the project and reviewing the current code now. If you have features/suggestions please mention them in the forum.
