I wonder if this list is alive? :-) I had everything working in Kaffeine 0.4beta1, installed the lot from Packman for my Suse 9.0. (although choppy read below why*) But now it refuses to play DVDs: (only DVDs) "Xine-Error: No input plugin" The only thing I can think of that changed was that I upgraded from the stock 2.4.21-99 smp kernel to Suse's "Mr. Mantel" 2.4.21-121 smp kernel *) I had to -- since there's an issue with stock kernel and hypertheading causing a 40% idle CPU load. Its only DVD-disc playback that does not work. I dread reinstalling tons of packages again, I did try to reinstall "de-css" its already installed (of course). I happened to have a VCD mpg1 disk and used the pull down menu: Play->VCD to see if the problem was with accessing the drive, but it opened and played the disc without any problem.. Any ideas? For the heck of it I took a snapshot of the "Input" tab from Kaffeine's Xine-config.. http://www.bostreammail.com/kalev/more/kaffeine-config.png jk -- Every day above ground is a good day. |
