Basically, you just create your own serialization policy class - I 
suggest doing a copy-n-paste of k3d::data::with_serialization from 
k3dsdk/data.h, and modify it to read/write the contents of the vector.

See the save_array() and load_array() overloads in 
k3dsdk/serialization_xml.cpp for some good sample code for 
reading/writing arrays.
