We should get in touch with these guys and let them know that there is an open source 3D authoring suite developing with pixel/renderman support. I think I'll fire off an email. If you haven't used it in a while there is a good chance that development has progressed. The activity on sourceforge is rated quite high, and they just released a version a couple days ago. In terms of setting options like turning on raytracing etc... would you expect it to work? (From k3d's end not from pixie's end). Are the controls there in k3d to interface with its features, or is that something that has never been added. (I could definitely see that being a lot of work.)
