Well, Jython has already Python to Java translator. What is not here is the ability to specify types of variables, mainly int and double. Taking in consideration that any method can be called through reflection Pyrex approach is not that interesting in Jython land. The more interest is using byte code injection in order to remove as much reflection as possible. If any AOP framework can do it why Jython doesn't?
