What is the preferred way of quitting Jython? The first time I tried Jython, I typed "quit" and it told me (on Mac OS X) to hit Control-D to end, which I did and all was well. Then, when I started to use Swing, I found that Control-D alone didn't do it -- it left Java stuff executing in the background. I had to hit Control-D then Control-C. Now, I just moved my work to Windows for the first time, and Control-D just generates an error. I learned that I'm supposed to type Control-Z, and even then, I have to hit Control-C to quit the Swing stuff -- and I get a nasty prompt about "Quitting a batch file?" There must be a preferred, cross-platform way to quit a Jython session, I hope. What would it be? Hopefully something nice to teach my students so that they don't get yucky prompts or have to type magic control sequences. Thanks! Mark |
