The exception is caught and ignored in jython.java when it is a ImportError. This is probably because we didn't want a warning/error if the site.py file itself was missing. I don't think that concern is valid still and so I don't see a problem with always printing a warning (like CPython 2.3 does) when site.py fails. If you feel like it, try to fix it and upload a patch (context or unified diff) to the sourceforge patchmanager. regards, finn |
