I assume you're talking about http://jython.org/bugs/1663711? As I just commented on the bug, Jython can handle any string that fits in memory. The 32767 character limit is only for string literals in a .py file or exec'd code. If you add a PyString containing your very long String to the interpreter, it will work without a hitch.
