Hi, I am wondering how Jython works in the background. My project now involves me to wrap a domain-specific language to Python. My understanding of Jython is that to run python codes on JVM, Jython wraps the codes in a set of Py_ objects (written in java) and runs it as java codes. So, each Py_ object will render the corresponding object all the properties of a python object. For example, Py_List will contains all the methods needed to manipulate python list objects. Is this how Jython works? It apparently seems so when I tried to use jythonc to convert jython to java. Are there any published papers (in journals or conferences) that illustrates the working of jython? Thanks a lot. Cheers Maurice |
