In general I feel that os.path is good enough for 2.2 and at least it's better than 2.1 version. For 2.3 it would probably be better to have a bigger rewrite and split os.path to platform specific modules ala CPython like hsk suggested. Those submodules would definitely be easier to test because we could use test_posix/nt/dospath.py files directly from CPythonLib. I can also help with this work if needed. Cheers, .peke |
