howdy, Ive been trying to figure out why fastGetDict exists. My presumption that there was a set of inefficient getDict implementations floating around but I haven't found anything different than this: public PyObject fastGetDict() { return dict; } public PyObject getDict() { return dict; } Ive surveyed these classes: /org/python/core/PyClass.java /org/python/core/PyClassMethodDerived.java /org/python/core/PyComplexDerived.java /org/python/core/PyDictionaryDerived.java /org/python/core/PyFileDerived.java /org/python/core/PyFloatDerived.java /org/python/core/PyIntegerDerived.java /org/python/core/PyListDerived.java /org/python/core/PyLongDerived.java /org/python/core/PyObject.java /org/python/core/PyObjectDerived.java /org/python/core/PyPropertyDerived.java /org/python/core/PyStringDerived.java /org/python/core/PySuperDerived.java /org/python/core/PyTupleDerived.java /org/python/core/PyType.java /org/python/core/PyTypeDerived.java /org/python/core/PyUnicodeDerived.java /org/python/modules/sets/PySetDerived.java and the only one that is different appears to be PyObject which returns null for both. so what's the scoop with these 2? :) leouser __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
