Hi, I am new to Jython and java even though I have used CPython for quite some time. I would like to know how to compile the CVS version of Jython using javac 1.4.0 version. I dowloaded and tried to compile it in my Cygwin shell using make. However, I encountered the following error messages. I can see that Pattern.java is compiled to Pattern.class without any problem. Thanks a lot! Best regards, Jingzhao =============================================================================== $ make 2>&1 | more make[1]: Entering directory `/cygdrive/c/jython-cvs/org/apache/oro/text/regex' javac -classpath "C:\\jython-cvs\\org" -g:lines,vars,source -classpath "../../.. /../..:" PatternCompiler.java PatternCompiler.java:120: cannot resolve symbol symbol : class Pattern location: interface org.apache.oro.text.regex.PatternCompiler public Pattern compile(String pattern) throws MalformedPatternException; ^ PatternCompiler.java:120: cannot resolve symbol symbol : class MalformedPatternException location: interface org.apache.oro.text.regex.PatternCompiler public Pattern compile(String pattern) throws MalformedPatternException; ^ PatternCompiler.java:140: cannot resolve symbol symbol : class Pattern location: interface org.apache.oro.text.regex.PatternCompiler public Pattern compile(String pattern, int options) ^ |
