[Jython-users] Total jython/python newbie with high aspirations

Hi all, I'm working on an application that will need to use another
application which is currently written in python. My application is
being written in Java. I have no knowledge at all of python, and so
porting this python code to java isn't really an option, nor re-writing
it. Coming across jython.. it looks like it will bridge the gap for me..
but.. I thought it would be best to ask :)

How easy is it to use jython to embed a current python app inside of a
java app? I do have access to the python app source code.. but don't
know enough to make /massive/ changes. 

Can anyone throw random advice at me? I'll try to catch it all :)
