I'm sure that this is a simple problem, but I'd appreciate a relevant pointer. I've got a simple jython app that I want to make an applet, so that I can run it from any machine. It uses the xml parser (from xml.sax.make_parser). Aside from non-urgent issues, like java.swing.Japplet not working (ClassCastException), when I compile this with jythonc, I can't seem to get all the bits together to get an xmlparser working (I've had to grab a more recent version of pyxml's sax and replace the one that comes with jython 2.1) when I compile to a jar (jythonc -a --jar jarfile.jar file.py) and then try java -jar jarfile.jar file, I get a 'SAXReaderNotAvailable: No parsers found' exception. If I try to build a jar of what is the default loaded parser from the interpreter (xml.sax.drivers2.drv_xmlproc), and include this in the classpath, I then get 'ImportError: cannot import name xmlval' (I'm using -a flag and that module being created). Any thoughts? (I'd hoped that this would be painless, and up to here jython has been painless :-) ) Tia Tim |
