The jwm -reload option does not refresh Trays (anything inside <Tray>, in any JWM config files)..

Is this a bug, over-sight, to do, or intended feature?

I would dearly love JWM to update trays as well as menus, using the -reload option..

I use a JWM tray to display the detected drive partitions, on the desktop,
which is auto updated by a BASH script which runs in the background...

Currently that script uses jwm -restart :(

There are other involved with Puppy Linux who would also like Trays to be supported by -reload.

Thanks.

This is the intended behavior. "reloading" the trays would be a fairly complex operation since you could move them etc.
It sounds to me like you want to be able to dynamically add/remove/update tray buttons. That might not be terribly difficult to support; I'll look into it.

Yes, refreshing the tray buttons dynamically would be great, the icons and actions are all that change in my drive icon mount script, for example - nothing moves.. If you could do that, it would be great!!
