I am looking for an ssh client that I can feed the password to automate a login session. I saw jsch and started to play with it. I used the Exec.java example and was able to get it to work from one unix machine to another. When I try to use the same example on a Metaframe server I have trouble getting the window to display. Typically when I connect to an ssh server, the DISPLAY will be modified in my shell so that X11 traffic will be properly displayed back to the client. In your example we are setting the hostname and X11 port, I guess figuring to get a port that is not being used. My question is what is happening on the server side to ensure that the X11 traffic is configured properly to be tunneled back to the client? When getting a telnet window using Metaframe, the $DISPLAY may be some bogus hostname and number that is somehow mapped back to the client machine. For example if we log into a machine that is: danny.boy.com you would get something like 'danny:0' Using the web interface the display might be: 'unix:10' I can capture this display just fine but when the xhost and xport are set to 'unix' and '6000+10' respectively, the X window does not display - any suggestions? |
