Hi, Graham et al, I'd never heard of Kontakt, so I did a websearch. Seems the latest offering is V3, and everyone says it's the bees knees. (Especially the nice salesman! ) The price of 399 EUR is a bit beyond my present budget, but not out of the question for all time. Apparently it's easier to use than V2, has 1000 instruments using 33GB of samples, convolution reverb and lots of other goodies. The only disturbing thing is the deathly silence on computer power requirements. The only mention I've seen so far is: "And before you ask, 'What about polyphony?', you can run as many Kontakts as your CPU can handle..." ...Which doesn't really tell me a great deal! Have fun, Roy. --- On Tue, 29/1/08, Graham Goode <ggo...@gm...> wrote: From: Graham Goode <ggo...@gm...> Subject: Re: [jOrgan-user] jOrgan and Kontakt 2? To: jor...@li... Date: Tuesday, 29 January, 2008, 5:35 AM Hi Gustavo, I too have Kontakt 2 with some organ registers. From simply looking at what people are doing with the soundfonts and GSO ranks with jOrgan I would say that it is theoretically possible to do it in Kontakt 2. I would think that setting each register to a MIDI channel in Kontact and mapping that to the jOrgan disposition would be the place to start, but I'm not going to be able to experiment for a while as all my time is focused on another project at the moment. Any other Kontakt 2 users? GrahamG Johannesburg ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
