I don't think so. I guess this dir is only necessary to provide gettext on systems that don't support it. And on these systems it's okay for me if joe uses an own implementation instead. I don't know much about this autoconf/automake/libtool/libintl/etc... stuff, but I've already written several apps for Linux: just a few #include's and probably a #define _ gettext, and then you can write _("foo") and it works perfectly. No need for bundled code at all. -- Egmont |
