I just checked in code for a new scripting command to support animation. This script command supports simple animation/playing of multiple-frame chemfiles in both the application and the applet. The basic script command is called animate. The full list of implemented commands is: animate rewind // rewinds to frame 0 animate play // plays one time animate revplay // plays in reverse animate next // advance to next frame - stop at last frame animate prev // back to previous frame - stop at frame 0 animate nextwrap // advance to next frame - wrap around to frame 0 animate prevwrap // back to previous frame - wrap around to last frame animate frame N // go to a specific frame number The frame rate of the play/revplay commands is currently limited by: 1. as fast as the machine can render the frames 2. but no faster than 10 frames/second In the future we will presumably want more controls on this. There is currently no support for interpolated frames. There is currently no support for vibrations. Miguel |
