[Jmol-users] Bug in isosurface initialisation?

Hello

I load a new structure from a CIF in jmol 11.8.RC2 and enter
   color isosurface red translucent;
(before defining any isosurfaces). The applet freezes. If
instead I create a van der Waals surface first, e.g. with
   isosurface delete resolution 0 solvent 0 translucent;
the "color isosurface" commands work fine.

This bug (feature? - if so, how to avoid it?) was not present
in 11.5.37, but had crept in by 11.6.24, and seems to be
there in the 11.7 series that I still have.
