Category: File Input/Output Group: None >Status: Closed Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Submitted By: Bob Hanson (hansonr) Assigned to: Egon Willighagen (egonw) Summary: Jmol 10.2/10.3 misreads helix/turn information in CIF files Initial Comment: The 10.2/10.3 CIF reader fails to correctly read helix and turn data in CIF files when more than one chain is present. This is not a problem in the 10.x prototype bob200603, but I can't figure out how to fix it in 10.2/10.3 because of the complex (and, as far as I can tell, unnecessary) chain id mapping going on there. The 10.x prototype uses the much simpler auth_ fields recommended to me by RCSB and no chain id mapping, so there is no problem there. compare http://www.stolaf.edu/people/hansonr/jmol/test/10.2/new.htm?model=5hvp.pdb;restrict%20none;select%20*;cartoons%20on;select%20turn%20or%20helix;color%20red with http://www.stolaf.edu/people/hansonr/jmol/test/10.2/new.htm?model=5hvp.cif;restrict%20none;select%20*;cartoons%20on;select%20turn%20or%20helix;color%20red http://www.stolaf.edu/people/hansonr/jmol/test/10.3/new.htm?model=5hvp.cif;restrict%20none;select%20*;cartoons%20on;select%20turn%20or%20helix;color%20red http://www.stolaf.edu/people/hansonr/jmol/test/proto/new.htm?model=5hvp.cif;restrict%20none;select%20*;cartoons%20on;select%20turn%20or%20helix;color%20red ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Bob Hanson (hansonr) Date: 2006-08-13 15:55 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1082841 fixed in 10.x / 11.0 beta ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=379133&aid=1488592&group_id=23629 |
