Dominique, Interesting - the modssl FAQ you refer us to. There have been problems reported here before when using MSIE with SSL - I seem to remember someone was pre-loading many rollover image files and was having the SSL connections break for no apparant reason. I think we concluded that we could not find any problem in Jetty; that it seemed to be something in the SSL layer which MSIE broke. The FAQ suggests that Apache found a simular problem and can contort themselves to disable HTTP/1.1 responses if the request is from an MSIE client and SSL is in use. I'm not aware of any adaptation that specific in Jetty at the moment. If it could be shown systematically that there is such a problem and that kind of work-around will fix it, I'm sure we (collectively) can come up with a solution. Do you have a test rig etc. which can reproduce the problem at will? In the MSIE versions I'm familiar with you can turn off HTTP/1.1 in the client. Does that cure it? If so, that would encourage us to consider some kind of problem-specific work-around in the server.
