Manish, Any particular reason for using jsp2.0? The jsp2.1 impl should, if anything, work better than the jsp2.0 one and should be backwards compatible. In any case, have a look at: http://jetty.mortbay.org/maven-plugin/howto.html The relevant bit is buried down in the section on logging. If you want to use jsp2.0, then do 2 things: 1. modify your pom.xml to include dependencies for slf4j-simple (or any other slf4j log impl you fancy) and jcl104-over-slf4j for the <plugin> 2. start with mvn -Dslf4j=false jetty:run The slf4j activates a profile that will put jsp2.0 on the classpath, but without the slf4j jars. This is usally used to allow you to plug in another commons logging impl like log4, but should do the trick to force jsp2.0. Again, let me encourage you to use the jsp2.1 impl - it's way better! regards Jan Manish Shah wrote: > Hi there, > > We are using the Jetty maven plugin (version 6.0.0) and really like it - > thanks for the hard work! > > We have written some httpunit tests and would like to use the plugin to > start and stop Jetty for us before and after our tests run. > > The problem is we are using JSP2.0 with JDK 1.5 and the plugin seems to > default to using JSP2.1.
