I'm trying to set up a pub/sub JMS Topic to inform clients of changes made to the data on the server. The remote client successfully subscribes to the topic (using a javax.jms.MessageListener), but then there are problems when messages are published by an MBean to the topic. I'm getting the following message in the server log when the MBean publishes a Message which is then attempted to be pushed to the subscribed client: 14:03:03,206 ERROR [OILClientIL] Cannot connect to the ConnectionReceiver/Server java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.socketConnect(Native Method) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.doConnect(PlainSocketImpl.java:305) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.connectToAddress(PlainSocketImpl.java:171) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.connect(PlainSocketImpl.java:158) at java.net.Socket.connect(Socket.java:426) at java.net.Socket.connect(Socket.java:376) at java.net.Socket.<init>(Socket.java:291) at java.net.Socket.<init>(Socket.java:147) at org.jboss.mq.il.oil.OILClientIL.createConnection(OILClientIL.java:175) at org.jboss.mq.il.oil.OILClientIL.checkSocket(OILClientIL.java:156) at org.jboss.mq.il.oil.OILClientIL.receive(OILClientIL.java:130) at org.jboss.mq.server.ClientConsumer.doWork(ClientConsumer.java:295) at org.jboss.mq.threadpool.ThreadPool$WorkerThread.run(ThreadPool.java:230) There is no firewall or anything between the JBoss machine and the machine running the client application, but it seems as if it is having a problem connecting to the client. Any idea what the problem could be? JBoss 3.0.6/Java 1.4.1/RedHat Linux Thanks, Beau |
