Then your loign module not getting called is the issue you need to resolve. Until the secured ejb is operating under a security domain with a login module configuration that assigns unauthenticated users some security context, the servlet calling the secured ejb from its initialzation method will not work. Try stripping a testcase down to a simple servlet calling a secured ejb from its init using the UsernameRolesLoginModule so that you are not dealing with so many issues.
