Download, remove the ".gif" prefixes and then include within the jar file in the appropriate directory. That should get you what you need. I think these two files get updated fairly routinely now.

I tried to update the new cc and ip binary files, but unfortunately it did not work from the beginning.
According my debug session, the problem seemed to be with the old and therefore not synchronized 'locale.props' file. So I added there one missing country:language 'IM:en' that stands for 'Isle of Men'. Now it seems to work with IP-Country-2.25.

The db is now over one year old.
Is an update planned or is there a guide on how to update the geoip db myself?

There is a new version of the ip and cc parts of the
database here:
