If you want to stick with radio buttons, this is the recommended layout: http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gup/hig/2.0/controls-radio-buttons.html > Everytime you select an item in combobox (IIRC on > gtk_combo_box_set_active ()) there appears a common color picker > dialog. That's what I thought. Having a window open when you change selection in a combo box is not recommended: http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gup/hig/2.0/controls-option-menus.html There's some brief info on customising colours here: http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gup/hig/2.0/windows-utility.html#preference-windows I'd suggest a separate dialog, or a tab, as follows: *Colors* .---------------------. Low Band Compressor: | <filled with color> | '---------------------' .---------------------. Something Else: | <filled with color> | '---------------------' Those things on the right are supposed to be buttons, filled with the currently chosen color for that UI element. Clicking the button opens the color selector. I'm not sure how many elements there are in the select box currently - if it's more than about 6 then this design won't work too well! >> 5.
