No

As Conference editor, I was not allowed to upload
a file with the extension .docm, i.e.
WEPRI096.docm, as a "source file". The editor sees:

Source filename must be named WEPRI096.DOC , WEPRI096.TEX, or WEPRI096.ODT

I thus uploaded the file as a "supporting file".

HOWEVER, I can see from the log (see below) that the author
was able to correctly upload this file as "source file"; so
somehow this is allowed for the author, but not the editor.

    Jan,

The valid file extensions are defined in the Editor/Proceedings Administration > File Types page. Extensions are defined via regular expressions. The current value for source files is

    \.(TEX|DOC|DOCX|ODT)$

You can add extensions following the same format.

    \.(TEX|DOC|DOCX|ODT|DOCM)$

As for editor vs. non-editor I don't have an answer for that. It should not matter.

Jan, did you update the regular expression? Did that fix the problem?

    Hi Matt,
    No I didn't as I didn't have admin privilege.
Christine wasn't around at the time, and then
I got absorbed by other things and forgot abt it.
I was only affected by one paper which I uploaded
as a supporting document. If no one else complained
I would close the bug report. If I come across it again
at FEL I will now know what to do; should there indeed
be a problem then I will report it.
Phew it's hot here (back in Villigen).
