I have found 6 PCI slot MSI and FIC motherboards, but I haven't tried them. At least the 6 PCI slot versions anyway. I have had great success with both MSI and FIC. It is an Asus P4G8X with P4 2.4G/533FSB CPU and 512M RAM (5 PCI slots). I also have an Abit IT7-Max2 that works great, but it has only 4 PCI slots. The integrated audio on both motherboards is supported (but of course, they are Intel chipsets though :-( ). >I was looking at the A7V8X-X, but it appears to have unsupported >on-board audio... I am also a very fond of Abit motherboards so I will probably stick with them for now. >I have a *strong* preference for AthlonXP over ntel, and want to stay >32-bit (and parallel-ATA) for the nonce. > > The MSI KT4AV-L looks like a nice board with 6 PCI, Realtek ALC650 6-channel audio and about $55.00 where I normally buy stuff. >We have one 250 in hand (non-MCE, OEM) but nothing else is ordered yet. > >All suggestions (with details, por favor) cheerfully accepted. > > Hope this helps, David |
